Administrator & Cash Office Supervisor (Part-Time, 30 Hours)

Location: Twycross Zoo (on-site)

Salary: £21,141 per annum (pro-rata)

Contract Type: Part-Time, 30 hours per week, Permanent

Working Hours: 30 hours, 5 days over 7, between 8:00am – 6:00pm

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Administrator & Cash Office Supervisor to support both administrative and cash office operations within our busy catering environment at Twycross Zoo.

This role combines financial responsibility with day-to-day administration, making it an excellent opportunity for someone experienced in cash management and office processes who thrives in a fast-paced setting.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising and managing daily cash office operations, including cashing up and reconciliation
  • Accurately processing daily takings and proactively investigating and resolving discrepancies
  • Raising and managing invoices in a timely manner
  • Maintaining and updating personnel files in line with company policies
  • Supporting general administrative tasks across the operation
  • Managing filing systems, documentation, and internal records
  • Basic spreadsheet management and reporting
  • Handling queries and liaising with internal departments professionally
  • Supporting ad-hoc projects and contributing to process improvements

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Proven experience in a cash office, finance, or similar role with direct responsibility for cash handling
  • Confidence managing large volumes of cash and taking ownership of financial accuracy
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong administrative background with attention to detail
  • Experience with invoicing and financial record keeping
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet management
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility for key processes
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Professional communication skills and a proactive approach
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive information

Desirable:

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Business Administration or Finance-related discipline
