Location: Southwick Park, PO17 6EJ
Reporting to: Line Manager
Hours/Working Pattern: 35 hours per week, rotating shifts, 50.2 weeks per year
Contractual Requirements: Candidates must be aged 18+ and willing to undergo a DBS check

We’re currently recruiting for an ambitious Apprentice Commis Chef to join our team and help deliver exceptional experiences for Southwick Park on a full-time basis contracted to 35 hours per week.
As an apprentice Commis Chef, you will work alongside a passionate and supportive team, gaining hands-on experience while developing your skills through structured training. No prior experience is required as full training will be provided as part of the apprenticeship!
On completion of the Apprenticeship, you will achieve the L2 Commis Chef qualification and become a qualified Commis Chef.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers.
- Representing Defence and maintaining a positive brand image.
- Monitoring inventories to keep our kitchens well-stocked.
- Overseeing kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards.
- Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.
Our Ideal Apprentice Will:
- Be a quick learner who can absorb and apply new information.
- Work independently and respond positively to unexpected challenges.
- Have excellent attention to detail.
- Be confident following detailed recipes and processes.
- Communicate effectively and ask questions to support their learning.
- Demonstrate good timekeeping and reliability.
- Follow instructions carefully.
- Hold a valid driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.

Apprenticeship Funding Requirements
