We’re now recruiting an experienced and passionate Café Manager to lead one of our Asda Café teams — a hands-on leader who loves food, thrives on great service, and knows how to bring out the best in people.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Café Manager, you’ll be at the heart of the action — leading your team to deliver delicious food, outstanding service, and a friendly atmosphere that makes every guest feel at home.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and serving fresh, tasty food to the highest standards.

  • Leading, motivating, and developing your café team to deliver exceptional service.

  • Overseeing daily operations — from stock control and compliance to budgets and weekly business returns.

  • Ensuring all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards are consistently met.

  • Working closely with your Asda Store Manager and Compass line manager to deliver great results and memorable customer experiences.

  • Taking pride in your café’s performance and finding ways to make it even better every day.


About You

You’re a natural leader who brings energy, organisation, and warmth to every shift. You take pride in great-tasting food, love helping people grow, and enjoy the buzz of a busy day.

To shine in this role, you’ll have:

  • Previous management experience in a café, restaurant, or retail food environment.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • A passion for customer service and team development.

  • Confidence managing budgets, rotas, and operational targets.

  • A Basic Food Hygiene certificate (or willingness to obtain one).

  • The drive to make your café the best in the business.
