Casual Retail Sales Assistant / Warehouse Assistant – Levy Merchandising
Salary: £12.69 p.h.
Hours per week: casual / zero hours contract
Working pattern: varied shifts available including weekdays, evenings and weekends
Location: Wolverhampton
We’re looking for individuals to join our Retail Sales Assistant and Warehouse Assistant casual pool based in Wolverhampton, on a zero hours contract basis. As part of our casual pool, you’ll have access to Retail Sales Assistant shifts at the Wolverhampton Wanderers Megastore at Molineux Stadium and Warehouse Assistant shifts at our distribution centre in Wednesfield.
What you’ll do:
Retail Sales Assistant
In this role, you’ll assist the Megastore team with the delivery of exceptional customer service and all tasks required for the day-to-day operational running of the Store. This includes:
- welcoming customers into the Store and being on hand to help whilst they browse
- advising on our product range – assisting customers with enquiries, providing product information and offering assistance with purchases
- supporting with stock replenishment
- helping to make the Store look its absolute best, from general housekeeping and cleaning to updating displays and ensuring that all products are well presented
- processing sales – operating the till, processing transactions accurately, and handling payments
- understanding and promoting offers and other promotional activities
- supporting the team to work towards sales targets
Warehouse Assistant
In this role, you’ll assist the distribution centre team with the efficient receipt, storage and despatch of goods. This includes:
- checking in incoming stock deliveries and putting them away in the appropriate pick or storage location
- picking and packing customer orders placed through our e-commerce sites, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- using our warehouse management system to track inventory and manage orders
- ensuring a high standard of housekeeping within the distribution centre, paying particular attention to health and safety compliance.
This role would suit people who have/are:
- Previous experience working in a retail sales assistant or warehouse operative role, although this is not essential
- A passion for retail and delivering great customer service
- Friendly, approachable and have a proactive attitude
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Good attention to detail
- The ability to work well as a part of a team or independently
- Able to prioritise and multitask well in a fast-paced environment
- A positive approach to change and problem solving
- IT literate and able to use stock management and computer systems
- The flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and bank holidays as required
