The Venue:
The O2 Arena is the world’s most popular music venue, owned by AEG, it is the home of entertainment in London. With up to 220 plus incredible events a year including the Brits and a number of big-name residencies, no day is ever the same and Levy UK is proud to be the exclusive catering provider within the arena providing food and beverage over 4 very diverse areas – Suites, Concessions, Premium Bars and the new Residence Private Members Club. The Role:
The role of Deputy General Manager is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished food and beverage professional to be part of the O2 Arena experience. Inspiring and leading a team of circa 15 Heads of Department to optimise the sales, profitability and service utilising a structured approach, and focusing on compliance with relevant company polices, standards and employment principles.
This is not a role for someone who wants to preserve the status quo. Drive for growth and development is key. It’s all about taking full accountability for a great food and beverage experience, to match Levy’s and the client’s ambition, brand specifications and standards.
Reporting to the General Manager and through close liaison with our client partners, you will be directly responsible for the key resulting areas below (amongst other general responsibilities).
Operations:
- Oversee the day-to-day delivery of consistent and exceptional service standards to achieve and ideally exceed department targets and grow our reputation for legendary customer service.
- Oversee and ensure that all services within remit are ready for operation at specific time and to the agreed standard.
- Close and detailed liaison with our management team and all key partners to plan and deliver innovative solutions.
- Regular monitoring and development of each department to ensure that food & beverage quality, presentation, staffing reviews and consistent standards are in place.
- Liaison with 3rd party supplier and contractors to underpin effective service delivery.
- Monitor and maintain the Health and Safety policy, process and culture across your departments.
- Operate and further develop consistently high brand standards within each area.
