About the role:
This role is ideal for someone with a hospitality and operational background who enjoys being hands-on and leading teams on the ground. You will be responsible for the operational delivery of a wide range of events, including conferences, receptions, gala dinners, award ceremonies, and private functions.
As a Casual Event Operations Supervisor, you will oversee event set-ups, supervise front-of-house teams, and act as a key point of contact during events, ensuring everything runs smoothly and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the operational delivery of events across Southbank Centre's spaces.
- Supervise and support front-of-house teams during events.
- Manage event set-ups and ensure venues are prepared to the required standard.
- Act as the main operational point of contact during events.
- Allocate duties and provide guidance to event staff.
- Monitor service standards and ensure an excellent guest experience.
- Resolve operational issues quickly and professionally.
- Ensure all health, safety, and venue procedures are followed.
- Work closely with event planners, catering teams, and venue stakeholders.

- Has previous experience in hospitality, events, or venue operations.
- Is confident leading and motivating teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Can remain calm under pressure and make decisions effectively.
- Is flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service and successful events.
