Facilities Manager – Peterborough
Up to £45,000 per annum (DOE)
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Facilities Manager to join our 14forty team, leading the delivery of soft services and building maintenance at our Peterborough site. This is a site-based role with responsibility for day-to-day operations and ensuring all reactive and planned maintenance tasks are carried out efficiently, while maintaining high standards of service delivery and compliance.
The FM will manage a small team, including two direct reports, and will play a key role in maintaining client relationships, holding monthly meetings, reporting on KPIs, and ensuring service excellence across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of soft services (cleaning, security, catering, etc.) and building maintenance, ensuring consistent and high-quality delivery.
- Manage reactive and proactive maintenance tasks in coordination with the FM Assistant and operational team.
- Lead and support 2 direct reports, ensuring effective performance management and staff development.
- Liaise with the client on a regular basis, managing expectations and ensuring service satisfaction.
- Chair monthly client meetings, provide performance reports, and present updates on service delivery and improvements.
- Monitor and report on KPIs and SLAs, ensuring contractual obligations are met or exceeded.
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety, statutory, and company policies.
- Work collaboratively with contractors and internal teams to ensure seamless operations and project support.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and cost savings.
About you:
- Proven experience in a facilities management role, ideally within a client-facing, multi-service environment.
- Strong understanding of soft services and general building maintenance.
- Experience managing teams, including performance and development.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Confident in client engagement, reporting, and leading operational meetings.
- Working knowledge of compliance standards, risk management, and maintenance desirable
- Relevant qualifications such as IOSH/NEBOSH, IWFM, or similar are desirable.
