The Role

We are seeking a Finance Assistant to join our team in Sherborne. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment, supporting financial processes and providing accurate, timely reporting to drive operational and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collate and input day-to-day financial data including invoice details, stock take data, purchasing, and plate count values

  • Support analysis of monthly stock data and ensure accurate stock takes

  • Assist in producing timely, accurate financial reports and variance analysis

  • Investigate balances and review files in line with agreed procedures

  • Prepare and analyse documentation for client reporting and end-of-month processes

  • Assist in producing weekly reporting results and client billing documentation

  • Ensure all accounting entries comply with Group Accounting Manual

  • Complete accounting routines in line with timetables

  • Support forecasting and budgeting processes


About You

Essential Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Positive attitude and strong team player

  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver within agreed timescales

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of SAP, Cognos, and BPC systems

  • Previous commercial finance experience
