Helpdesk Operative - Kings Mill Hospital

Job Introduction

To provide a high quality comprehensive Switchboard and Helpdesk to the departments at Kings Mill Hospital. You will be responsible for the day to day operation of the Helpdesk, and will be the first point of escalation for any patients, visitors and hospital staff queries.

The successful candidate will be responsible of ensuring the helpdesk is operating effectively, by dealing with complaints, answering telephone calls & e-mails, logging all calls and requests and allocating them to the appropriate department.

The successful candidate will required to work 3 days / 7, between the hours 06:00 and 14:00 / 14:00 and 22:00, 18 hours per week. On occasions of sickness and holidays you must also be available to cover 22:00 and 06:00.

More about the role:

To ensure the helpdesk are manned at all times and to be able to cover different departments when required

Answer the telephone in a prompt and polite manner

Deal with caller’s requests and complaints in an appropriate and professional manner

To be professional, polite and friendly at all times

To ensure the highest level of customer care is adhered to at all times and to practise and maintain confidentiality throughout

Completion of all helpdesk logs

Maintain client and field relationships

Who you are:

Possess good IT skills with the knowledge of Word, Excel and Powerpoint

Good command of the English Language and a strong communicator

Excellent inter-personal skills, with the ability to deal with a wide range of people and situations.

Must be flexible in the duties performed and it is expected that similar duties, not specifically listed above, will be carried out as required.

Integrity and the ability to maintain high level of confidentiality

Must be a Team Player with the ability to work independently
