North West Area (Manchester based)
Up to £18.00 per hour

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Joiner to join our team, responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across various disciplines (electrical, mechanical, security etc) and reactive maintenance across multiple sites primarily across the North West & Midlands. Although this can be further-afield due to us providing nationwide coverage. The role requires flexibility, as you will be travelling between different locations.

Key Responsibilities include by not limited to
  • Attend reactive callouts and quoted works as scheduled by the helpdesk team.
  • Diagnose faults, troubleshoot issues, and conduct necessary repairs or improvements.
  • Perform joinery tasks with precision using hand tools and power tools.
  • Carry out painting and finishing work to enhance the appearance of completed projects.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians and plumbers, to ensure seamless integration of services.
  • Undertake masonry tasks as required for specific projects.
  • Manage heavy lifting and movement of materials safely on-site.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a variety of building services, including (but not limited to) electrical, plumbing, and general fabric maintenance across multiple sites. – Training will be given in support of this element of the role).
  • Carry out inspections, testing, and repairs to ensure that all systems and equipment are functioning effectively and meet safety standards..
  • Keep accurate records of all work completed, including reports, maintenance logs, and parts used.
  • Liaise with on-site teams to provide live updates on works being carried out.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, carrying out risk assessments as required.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for emergency maintenance and repairs.
About You
  • Proven experience in joinery & carpentry with a focus on PPM and reactive maintenance.
  • Strong working knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and general building fabric.
  • Knowledge of roofing techniques is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with health and safety standards and regulations in the workplace.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
