More about the role:
As our Location Accountant you will be responsible for:
- Producing pre-event forecasts and post-event analysis including profiling, attendance and SPH assumptions;
- Partnering with non-finance managers to ensure full awareness of all financial drivers in the business and the impact of operational decisions on financial performance;
- Delivering clear and concise internal reporting and preparation for business reviews, and attending regular reviews to provide this information;
- Assisting in all aspects of financial reporting from weekly forecasting through to periodic reviews and annual budgets;
- Tracking contract performance against budget and analysing variances to produce meaningful commentary that can be used to improve performance;
- Working to improve working capital management including collaboration with other departments to manage debtors, stock and cash control;
- Being a key part of the commercial team during events, supporting the delivery of exceptional experiences for guests;
- Monitoring processes to ensure they are being followed and identifying opportunities for improvement;
- Liaising between venue and head office teams to ensure the standard of processes and reporting meets the requirements of the parent company.
Who you are:
To be right for us, you will ideally be AAT qualified and/or working towards a professional qualification in ACCA/CIMA/ACA (study package available) but QBE will also be considered. You will ideally be able to demonstrate:
- Good financial and commercial acumen;
- Experience in a finance role within a similar industry;
- The ability to analyse and evaluate information efficiently;
- Communication skills to share oral and written information concisely and logically;
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with a close attention to detail;
- The skills and organisation to manage large complex accounts with high volumes of detailed data;
- Flexibility to work in a fast-moving and dynamic environment effectively;
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel;
- The ability to self-motivate and organise.
