Levy UK are looking for a fantastic Operations  Manager to come join this talented team at Mattioli Woods, Welford Road.

Leicester Tigers are a professional rugby union club based in Leicester, England. They play in Premiership Rugby, England's top division of rugby. The club was founded in 1880 and since 1892 plays its home matches at Mattioli Woods Welford Road in the south of the city

Overall Purpose of the Role

To develop, lead and manage a motivated, trained team with the appropriate skills to deliver a profitable catering operation and ensure all budget targets are achieved. To excel in the areas of operational excellence, financial performance and customer / client satisfaction to achieve company and client objectives within all company policies, procedures and guidelines.

Key parts of role:

  • Initiating internal roll out of hospitality plan
  • Reporting on events including guest attendance and resulting spend/retention achieved
  • Produce and Manage of hospitality labour planners in line with budget
  • Complete Matchday billing process ensure all invoicing is captured
  • Planning events calendar and strategy
  • Client management reports
  • Managing internal booking system
  • Event debriefing and post event evaluation.
  • Build, Train and Develop a Core workforce
  • Deputies for General Manager in their absence
  • Ensure a high level of Food hygiene / Health & Safety is maintained

The kind of person needed:

  • Retail and Hospitality Catering Skills.
  • People Management.
  • Communication Skills – verbal and written.
  • Results Orientation.
  • Holding others accountable.

Must have's:

  • Proven track record of business development and management
  • They should be experienced in working alongside major venues and sporting bodies and in managing major hospitality programmes
  • The ability to communicate at all levels
  • A good team member but must be able to work on own initiative
  • Self-motivation and the ability to motivate others
  • Experience and knowledge of Sporting and Cultural events
  • Use of IT packages including, Microsoft Office, E-mail, Word, Excel
  • Drive and Ambition to be the sites next general manager
