Role home/venue based (will be required to work full time at venue when Championships is on)
The People Operations Manager for The Championships has full responsibility and guardianship for the planning, recruitment, coordination and delivery of the highest calibre workforce for the catering team of The Championships, ensuring the event is staffed with a best in class workforce.
The role will work across all core people disciplines to ensure processes are in place to deploy our workforce effectively, maintaining high levels of colleague satisfaction whilst remaining aligned with strategy and company goals.
Responsibilities
People Operations
- Ownership and execution of the variable recruitment plan for The Championships, ensuring the event is supported by the best calibre people within the financial parameters set and according to operating standards.
- To manage and enhance the staff experience, including but not limited to, attraction methods, application processes, ATL management, interviews, communication, staff wellbeing, engagement, accommodation, transport, reward, and recognition.
- Ensure all activity is within strict adherence to relevant employment law.
- Build and maintain a reliable network of alternative and diverse recruitment suppliers, including agencies, community groups and charities .
- Champion partnerships with culinary and hospitality education providers to build a stable succession plan.
- To support and guide People Operations team members at all times with particular reference to their respective area of responsibility.
- To motivate the teams to live the venue’s vision to be a preferred employer, thus commanding loyalty and commitment from the variable workforce.
- Deputise for the HR business partner when required in dealing with sensitive ER issues/scenarios to ensure swift, fair and transparent resolution.
- Ensure all personal data is held in accordance with GDPR regulations.
- To support the HR Business Partner with projects as required.
- To attend and actively contribute to all meetings, ensuring that all relevant information is cascaded as appropriate across the business.
- Ensure all activities are aligned with the Levy HR core signature framework.
- Support your Line Manager in ensuring all people operations activities are within budget.
- Awareness of how to optimise profitability and efficiency.
- Demonstrate excellent control of all operating costs in line with set targets.
