Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and troubleshoot IIB (IBM Integration Bus) message flows, APIs, and transformations.
- Configure and manage integration workflows, mappings, and adapters for seamless cloud-based integration.
- Design, develop, and support integrations between SAP and third-party applications using SAP CPI and IIB middleware.
- Work closely with SAP functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable integration solutions.
- Monitor and maintain end-to-end integration performance, ensuring high availability and minimal disruptions.
- Support the migration of legacy interfaces to modern integration platforms, optimising efficiency and security.
- Implement best practices for integration design, security, and data governance across SAP and middleware solutions.
- Conduct root cause analysis and resolve issues related to interfaces, message queues, and API connectivity.
- Provide technical expertise for SAP S/4HANA and cloud integration scenarios, including hybrid environments.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to manage and optimise integration landscapes.
- Document integration designs, technical specifications, and support guides for internal teams.
- Work closely with external SAP support teams and vendors for system optimisation and issue escalation.
- Essential
- 5+ years of experience in SAP technical integration, including SAP CPI and middleware solutions.
- Strong hands-on expertise with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) – designing and maintaining SAP-based integrations.
- Experience with IBM Integration Bus (IIB), including message transformation, routing, and API management.
- Knowledge of SAP IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, OData, and SOAP/REST APIs for SAP integrations.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and message queuing systems (e.g., MQ, JMS).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex integration and data flow issues.
- Experience with monitoring tools and error handling mechanisms for middleware and SAP integration layers.
- Familiarity with security best practices, including OAuth, SAML, encryption, and authentication in integration scenarios.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple integration projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, developers, and business users.
- Experience with SAP system upgrades, patches, and testing methodologies.
Desirable
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA integration approaches, including hybrid cloud and on-premises solutions.
- Experience with SAP PI/PO for legacy interface support and migration to SAP CPI.
- Understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines for integration development.
- Exposure to API management platforms
- ITIL or Service Management Frameworks knowledge for structured incident and change management.
